Hey! Check out my new Panda T-shirt and hat. I got it at the zoo yesterday and it is too cute, don't you think?
My teacher told my Mom about how I love to pretend to fix food and eat, so Mom decided to get me a tea set. Now I really have fun pretending. My little teapot plays the song, "I'm a little teapot short and stout." Would you like to come have tea and cookies with me sometime?
I got a package in the mail from my Gammy Katherine. This is a book about Hippos and the little Hippo on the front squeaks. It came just in time for my Mommy to read to me before my first visit to the zoo. She also sent a beautiful card and money for my Mom and Dad to buy me a Savings Bond. Thanks so much, Gammy. I LOVE YOU too and can't wait to see you and Terri again and to meet Heather.

Today, my Mom and Dad took me to the zoo for the 1st time. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time. ( The park had so many beautiful trees and flowers in bloom.)
This is me and my Mom in front of the Pink Flamingo exhibit. They were so funny to watch. Some were just standing on one leg.
This is the exhibit where Mei Lan and her Mother are on display. They were so cute playing together. I wished I could get in there and play with them. They were having so much fun.
This is Yang Yang, Mei Lan's father. He was sleeping inside this cave. He was huge!
This is the crate that Yang Yang, Mei Lan's father, was shipped in when he was transported here from China. He had a very, very long trip in that crate. I know, because I am from China and I had to fly here on a plane too.
I just couldn't resist having my picture taken with this Panda board that had a hole cut out so I could put my head in and be the face of a Panda. Now I look like a Panda or does the Panda look like me? Hmmmm!
We decided to take a break and have some lunch. Boy! the sun was so bright. Don't you just love my pink sunglasses?
This is me with my Dad, watching an awesome stage show with lots of different kinds of birds. There was an African Gray Parrot, a Buzzard, a Pileated Crow (he was so beautiful and very smart), a Blue Macaw, and Horned Owl. They were flying over all of us and the owl ate a mouse. It was a very cool show.
I went inside the gates to the Petting Zoo, and saw lots of sheep and goats, but they were all much bigger than me.
Yep! There were lots of goats, but I didn't want to get too close. They were very hungry and I was afraid they might eat me.
My Mom and Dad said that this is a statue of a baby elephant. It is just my size.
Isn't it cute!
Yesterday, my Mom took me to the park to feed the geese and ducks again. I really love going to the park.
