This is a picture of two very beautiful dolls that my Aunt Agatha and Uncle Bill brought back for me from Japan and gave me as Christening gifts. They recently went to visit my cousin, Kera, who is studying Japanese in Kyoto, Japan. These are very special gifts and I will always keep and treasure them. 
These dolls are from the Japanese Doll Festival, Hinamatsuri, or Girls' Day, which is held March 3, the third day of the third month. This is the day to pray for young girl's growth and happiness. One of them looks like it represents an Emperor and the other an Empress.
They are truly BEAUTIFUL!!
